Common questions
What videos do I need to record?
Two, each 1 to 2 minutes. The first is an introduction a family would see: who you are and how you teach. The second is you explaining one concept from a subject and grade you teach. Neither needs to be produced or edited. We look at how you communicate, structure an explanation, and hold a student's attention. If you already have something suitable on your phone, upload it. Most tutors do that rather than recording fresh, and a clip from a real session is fine as long as no student is identifiable. There is a suggested structure for each video inside the builder. If you do not have them ready today, save your profile and come back to finish.
Will I teach US students?
Most tutoring opportunities are for US K-12 students, so tutors should be comfortable with schedules that align with US evening hours.
How long does profile review take?
Usually 2-3 business days. Review timelines can vary with subject demand and current tutoring requirements -- complete profiles are easier to evaluate quickly.
What happens after my profile is shortlisted?
Depending on your profile, you'll either be invited straight to a live interview, asked to record a teaching round first (reviewed by our team, then a live round), or invited to a combined live interview and teaching round. We'll tell you which applies to you and email full details on how to prepare.
When do I find out my pay rate?
Once you clear your round, our team confirms your hourly rate based on your country, subjects, and grade bands before final approval. You'll see a personalized estimate on your dashboard from the moment you submit your profile.
